On 07-03-09 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Melvin J. Heaton, 32 yr old w/m, 405 E. Main St., Johnson City. The arrest is a result of an investigation into the burglary of Hillcrest Drugs, 714 W. Market St., on June 22, 2009. Mr. Heaton is charged with Burglary, Theft of Property over $1,000, and Vandalism over $1,000. He is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $30,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on 07-07-09 at 1:30 pm.
