On 1/25/2012, officers with the Johnson City Police Department arrested Angelina Cruzcortes (Hispanic female DOB: 07/21/1986) of 2204 S. Greenwood Dr. Johnson City, TN 37604. The arrest is the result of a child neglect investigation conducted after officers found a five-year-old Hispanic juvenile walking on South Greenwood Drive with no clothing in freezing temperatures. After a brief investigation, the child’s mother was identified and arrested. Cruzcortes is charged with one count of child neglect under subsection (b) of the Tennessee statute for child neglect. She is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000.00 bond. Her arraignment is scheduled for Thursday January 26 at 1:30 P.M.
