On January 12, 2012, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Cheryl D. Huff, 48 yr female, 108 Watson Rd, Johnson City, TN on outstanding warrants charging her with Forgery over $1,000 and Theft of Property under $500.
The arrest stems from an investigation into the theft of checks from an east Johnson City residence. Ms. Huff stole the checks from the residence, forged the victim’s name, and cashed several checks at a local financial institution in Johnson City.
Ms. Huff is currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center on an $11,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on January 16, 2012, at 1:30 pm.
