On 01/21/13 at approx. 2220 hours officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to the area of Indian Ridge Road after a concerned citizen called 911 and complained of a possible drunk driver in the area. A vehicle fitting the description of the one given by the caller was located at Indian Ridge Rd//Fairridge Rd. An attempt to stop the vehicle was unsuccessful after the driver turned his lights off and evaded officers’ efforts to pull him over.
An investigation into the incident revealed the driver to be Cecil D. Carver, 41 yoa, of 205 Fairridge Rd, Johnson City. A warrant for Felony Evading and Driving on a Revoked License, 10th offense, was obtained for Mr. Carver’s arrest and served upon him at his residence. During the service attempt, Mr. Carver actively resisted arrest and was Tasered before being taken into custody.
Mr. Carver was transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $12,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on 01/22/13 at 1330 hours to be arraigned.
