On Tuesday, 03-12-13 officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Todd Lambert, (39) of Gray, TN., for Theft of Property over $500.00. The arrest is the result of an investigation into a theft of property from Belk’s located in the Johnson City Mall, 2011 N. Roan St.  Two subjects were observed concealing items from Belk’s and then leaving the store without paying.  Several minutes later Todd Lambert brought back the stolen items to a different Belk’s store and returned them for a gift card. Lambert exited the store prior to police arrival.  He was located several months after the incident and arrested.  Lambert is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $1,000.00 bond.  A preliminary court date has been set in Washington County General Sessions Court on Wednesday, 03-13-13, at 9:00 am.
