On Wednesday, 03-13-2013, at approximately 7:47 pm, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested George Collins 1238 Faye St, Kingsport, TN 37660 and David Nash 1250 Faye St Kingsport, TN 37660 for Manuf/Del/Resale of Schedule VI. Officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Interstate 26 Westbound when they observed a white Nissan speeding and stopped the vehicle for the offense. During the encounter officers learned that Collins had a warrant out of Sullivan County, TN. Officers used a narcotics K9, Rex to perform a free air search of the vehicle. The K9 alerted on both sides of the vehicle and the trunk. During the search of the vehicle Officer’s located 2.55 pounds of a marijuana inside a cardboard box in the trunk of the vehicle. Collins and Nash were booked at the Washington County Detention Center where they are being held each on a $10,000.00 Bond. Collins and Nash will be arraigned Friday, 03-15-2013, at 9:00 a.m. at the Washington County General Sessions Court.
