TIME:

On 3/11/14, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Devin D. Stout (201 James Court) 25 years old and charged him with possession of a Schedule II drug, unlawful drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, financial responsibility and improper registration.

At approximately 9:55 p.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop on a primer colored Mitsubishi Mirage that was bearing a Tennessee tag that did not belong on the vehicle.  Upon making contact with the driver (Mr. Stout) he appeared to be very nervous and advised that a friend had given him the tag to use.  Mr. Stout gave officers permission to search his person as well as his vehicle.  Upon doing so, officers located a green pill in his right front pocket as well as drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.  Mr. Stout’s license was also found to be suspended and he did not have proof of insurance on his vehicle.

Mr. Stout was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of a $3,000 bond.  Arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m. on 3/12/14 in Washington County General Sessions Court.
