Severe Thunderstorms Possible

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA...EAST TENNESSEE AND SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

 

DAY ONE. TODAY AND TONIGHT.

 

ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON. SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY BECOME STRONG TO SEVERE...WITH DAMAGING WINDS THE PRIMARY THREAT.

 

 

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN. WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

 

A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL SLOWLY MOVE ACROSS THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIAN REGION ON WEDNESDAY. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP AHEAD OF THIS FRONT...ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. A FEW STORMS MAY BECOME STRONG TO SEVERE. BRINGING THE POSSIBILITY OF DAMAGING WINDS. AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL LEADING TO SOME FLOODING.
