On 03/16/14, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Ryan James Olaughlin, 20 yr old male, 399 ½ Woodlyn Rd, Johnson City, and charged him with aggravated burglary.

At approximately 4:50 a.m., officers responded to 293 Austin Springs Rd, Apt 46., in reference to burglary of a residence.  Upon arrival officers were told by the occupants of Apt 46 that they had been awakened by a male subject inside the apartment.  The male subject was actually known to the occupants of the apartment but had not been invited into the residence.  The investigation revealed that the male subject, Ryan Olaughlin, had actually taken a screen from the window and entered the apartment without their knowledge.  Once inside the apartment Mr. Olaughlin is alleged to have stolen several items and placed them outside to be retrieved at a later time.  Property belonging to the victims was retrieved and returned to them.  Mr. Olaughlin was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of a $20,000 bond.  An arraignment is set for 1:30 p.m., on 03/17/14, in Washington County General Sessions Court.
